“ A bite done right! My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Summit Cafe last Saturday. We were downtown exploring the farmers market and waterfront shops when hunger struck, so we decided to give this cafe a try, considering all the incredible things we'd heard about it. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by what seemed to be the cafe owner and another staff member. Their service was not just prompt but also incredibly professional. In a matter of minutes, our Caesar salads and club sandwiches arrived at our table, and we were both blown away by the generous portions, especially given the affordable prices. I can't stress this enough – the Caesar salad was hands down the best we've ever had, surpassing even local trattorias and Italian restaurants. It's no surprise that this place maintains its well-deserved, consistently hight rating. The food here is nothing short of delicious, the staff is exceptional, and to top it all off, you get to enjoy a beautiful view of the water while dining. It's simply amazing all around. We'll definitely be returning to The Summit Cafe for more delightful experiences. ”
“ Wonderful people, service, and food! I've tried their fish n chips and the big breakfast during my stay in downtown Halifax and they were both excellent and left me feeling so satisfied. It's also so easy to find a seat with beautiful view of the harbour around here - either at the cafe (indoors or patio) or at a picnic table closer to the waters. The choice is yours :) ”
“ Great little cafe on the harbourfront of Halifax, located in the Summit Place office building with an outdoor patio overlooking the harbor. We went for breakfast at the end of October 2024. Good home-cooked breakfasts at a reasonable price, my cheese mushroom and spinach omelet was delicious, and the service was friendly. Highly recommended, not fancy, but very pleasant. ”
“ This should be the featured restauraunt when you Google breakfast at the water front. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice window seats in the sun and outdoor seating, and the best part; good affordable food! ”
“ Recently ended up at the Summit Cafe for a late breakfast. After being unable to get into our original restaurant of choice on the Halifax Waterfront and then wandering around trying to find somewhere serving breakfast around 10:30am we found the Summit Cafe thanks to a sandwich board outside. This is a hidden gem. Affordable, fast, and delicious. It is tucked away in a building I otherwise would have walked right by. I had the big breakfast and for 8 I had 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 bacon slices and 2 sausages which was amazing. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was small but clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend! ”
“ Love this small, friendly family run Caffe. Abu Tony and his beautiful wife run this shop with easy love and care. Loved the fish and chips. ”
“ Staff are very friendly and always welcoming. Food is always top notch. Just had the soup and salad combo for 10.. Highly recommend!! ”
“ Enjoy this place regularly. Bun on the run, egg sandwich is made on a perfectly toasted bun, egg, cheese and bacon. Made fresh, worth the walk along the waterfront for; Almost at the wave. Walk up the stairs at the back of the building, a long the front, past the main entrance through the door directly into the restaurant. This shawarma platter was a special, this platter is wildly good. Probably the best in ns. Garlic sauce is spot on almost hot. ”
